As we brace ourselves for the continuation of this wintery weather I thought it'd be great to take a second to remember what it was like back in 1947 and the 1950's when it was SO cold that the Thames river actually froze over!! It would definitely be something to write home about if it happend again but do we really want it to get that cold?! Here's a couple of cool pictures....
